The history of McMullin-Young Funeral Home and Cremation Services goes back to before the Civil War. Mack Young is part owner and he talked a little about how the second oldest funeral home in Illinois got its start by making cabinets and coffins.
Alex Young is a Licensed Funeral Director at McMullin-Young and the 7th generation to join the funeral home. Young said that joined the family business because as he grew older he realized all the good that his father and grandfather have done in the community.
McMullin-Young Funeral Home, due to COVID-19, is only able to offer private family services at this time, but they hope to be able to have the larger services soon.
