McDonalds In Litchfield Back Open After COVID-19 Scare

A restaurant in Litchfield is open on Monday after a COVID-19 case last week shut them down. The McDonald’s in Litchfield was shut down last week after an employee tested positive. On Saturday, a professional cleaning service along with an industrial hygienist came in to disinfect, sanitize, and properly clean the restaurant.

All food contact surfaces were cleaned and employees out of the Springfield area came in to restaff the restaurant. The business reopened today for drive-thru as the dining area is still closed from Governor JB Pritzker’s executive order. All employees who enter the building will follow CDC guidelines which include testing temperature and answering screening questions before being allowed to work. The staff will be wearing masks as a continued precaution.

Christian County is reporting 25 positive tests with 4 deaths while Montgomery County is reporting 16 positive cases with 1 death. All other counties are reporting the same numbers as yesterday. Find out more by visiting www.taylorvilledailynews.com.
