Illinois Continues To "Flatten The Curve"

Flattening the curve seems to be working. That is the message that Governor JB Pritzker said on Monday during his daily press conference.  Governor Pritzker says early models show that while there are too many Illinoisans being hospitalized, we’re doing our part.

The Illinois Department of Public Health will continue to use what assets are available to them to handle issues and outbreaks at long term care facilities with what the IDPH calls “Strike Teams.”

The Governor did address some concerns about long term care facilities not adhering to standards.

The IDPH is reporting 1,151 new cases of COVID-19 with 59 additional deaths. This brings the total to 31,508 cases overall with 1,349 deaths in 95 out of the 102 counties of Illinois.
