The Chris-Mont Emergency Management Agency along with the Montgomery County Health Department has announced that the Litchfield Oncology Institute that’s located at 1201 E. Union Ave., in Litchfield, IL has been placed under quarantine as of Thursday, April 16th, 2020. Mahmood Real Estate, LLC are the owners and they placed the facility under a voluntary quarantine due to an outbreak of COVID-19.
Five staff members and two patients have tested positive for the virus. The Montgomery and Macoupin County Health Departments are working together on a solution for the patients so that they’re able to continue treatment. The Litchfield Oncology Institute is privately owned and not associated in any way with St. Francis Hospital or the Springfield Clinic.
