Virtual Care Becoming Viable Option During COVID-19 Outbreak

With the spread of COVID-19 so prevalent today, the need for doctor care is still there for regular appointments. One way that is being done in central Illinois and other areas around the state is through virtual care.  Dr. Paul Pederson, President of the Illinois State Medical Society, says that because of the coronavirus, virtual care has found its way to the forefront a whole lot quicker than it would have.

Through virtual care it’s a whole lot easier to monitor patients and get compliance for things like taking your medicine.

Seeing virtual care, Dr. Pederson mused at just how much technology has changed since he started nearly 40 years ago.

Many area hospitals and physicians are practicing virtual care. Contact your primary care physician to find out if your doctor is doing it as well.
