Kathleen Agney Is Working With Teachers To Promote Agriculture Literacy

With schools being closed for the rest of the year, Kathleen Agney, the Shelby County Farm Bureau Agriculture in the Classroom Coordinator, is sending lesson plans to area teachers to help them keep their students busy at home.

One of the lessons that Agney worked on recently was a poultry lesson, raising chicks.

Even though almost every event has been canceled or postponed, Agney is still very much looking forward to their summer Agriculture Institute Day on Wednesday, June 10th for teachers to help them incorporate agriculture into the classroom all year long.
