The IHSA is recognizing athletes and first responders along with many other schools in Illinois on Friday evening. Taylorville High School is participating in “Lights For the Fight.” The initiative is being done Friday evening at 8:00 PM. The athletic complex lights will be illuminated and will be on for 20 minutes and 20 seconds. 

The tribute is for the seniors, student-athletes who have missed the spring season, health care workers, first responders, and other essential workers on the front lines of the pandemic.

School officials are encouraging people to drive by the athletic complex, showing your support for these people by honking your car horn as you pass by the athletic facility.
