Illinois Working With Other States On Safe Way To Reopen

Illinois is working on a safe reopening plan with other surrounding states to figure out what is the best way to reopen the state. Governor JB Pritzker announced a plan working with the Governors of Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio working through the economic issues to figure out how the States can work together to get it done.

Governor Pritzker won’t commit to extending the stay at home order at this time but says he continues to look at the evidence for and against it every day.

There are 1,140 new cases including 125 new deaths in Illinois. Illinois as a whole is reporting a total of 25,733 positive tests of COVID-19 including 1,072 deaths in 90 of the 102 counties of Illinois. Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health says they are learning new information about the virus all the time.
