Local 9-1-1 Dispatchers Recognized During National Dispatcher Week

This week we recognize our public safety 911 dispatchers. Working behind the scenes is often a thankless job that can have some workers putting in 50-60 hours a week. One woman who works as a 9-1-1 dispatcher for Christian and Shelby County is Kaci Devore. Devore says she always wanted to be a dispatcher.

Working for the people of Christian and Shelby County makes it all worthwhile.

While working for the people is important, Devore says she couldn’t do it without the support of her coworkers and other dispatchers.

April 12-18 is National Dispatcher Week across the USA. We thank the many dispatchers across Illinois and the nation for their hard work every single day.

Dispatchers Kaci Devore and Kathy Schuyler work as Christian and Shelby 9-1-1 Dispatchers.
