Governor Pritzker Announcing New Remote Care, Telehealth Options

The State of Illinois is working on more efficient ways to communicate with the public and get them more information. Governor JB Pritzker announced in Saturday’s press conference that there were new telehealth numbers that would help people who are suffering from issues related to COVID-19. The program is called “Call4calm.”

 

The Governor also announced a new program set to monitor patients remotely. 

 

 

Governor Pritzker will be hosting a Facebook Live virtual town hall meeting at 5 on Saturday, to answer any questions children may have about the virus. For more information on that visit his Facebook or Twitter page.

 

Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Illinois Director of Public Health says that there are 1,293 new cases of coronavirus including 81 additional deaths. This brings the total state numbers to 19,180 cases including 677 deaths in 86 counties. Dr. Ezike says we are starting to get through, but we need to stick with what we are doing.
