A detainee in the Montgomery County Jail collapsed on Tuesday and was pronounced deceased by Coroner Randy Leetham. The inmate was 28-year-old Dustin Olson who collapsed at approximately 8:30 on Tuesday morning due to what is thought to be a heart issue. The Illinois State Police are aiding in the investigation into Olson’s death, and have made it clear that this incident has no obvious connection to COVID-19. They are still waiting on autopsy results.
