Dr. Ezike Warns, Despite Nice Weather Tuesday, Please Stay Home; 1,000 New Cases In Illinois

Governor JB Pritzker continues to push for more PPE for the state during. Citing a lack of help from the Federal government, Governor Pritzker has been working to secure more for Illinois that can help as we get closer to what many people feel will be the peak of the coronavirus outbreak.  Governor Pritzker says that we have made quite a bit of progress on the PPE front.

 

Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Director of Public Health in Illinois gave new numbers stating that there are 1,006 new cases and 33 additional deaths.  This brings the total of cases in the state up to 12,262 with 307 deaths in 73 counties.  Dr. Ezike warned residents that tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest day since last fall, but that doesn’t change the fact that you should be staying at home.

 

 

Dr. Ezike says that 70% of the people that have died from coronavirus have had a comorbid condition, which means that they had more than one disorder.
