Taylorville City Council To Meet Remotely Monday Evening

The Taylorville City Council will meet remotely on Monday evening. The meeting will be held with respect to social distancing guidelines and will be conducted remotely in whole or in part, by video and/or audio conferencing and recording and/or teleconference. Members of the general public are prohibited from attending this meeting in person, but city officials, officers, employees and members of the press are invited. 

 

If any person wishes to address city council email the mayor at mayorbarry@taylorville.net.  There will be ordinances discussed at the meeting. Some of the ordinances include an ordinance to approve the declaration of a local state of emergency, an ordinance discussing boat docks, and an ordinance to discuss allowing dual tenants of the same lake lot lease.

 

The board will also discuss the burn ban, along with a business district agreement and business development agreement. The board will also talk about approving the purchase of a 2020 Garden Tractor at a cost not to exceed $10,500 to be paid from the Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund and a motion to advertise for bids for concrete, curb and gutter, sidewalks, fuel, and mowing for the period of May 2020- April 2021. 

 

The meeting will finish with public comments and city and attorney updates.
