Taylorville Police responded to a smash and grab at the Mach 1 on Illinois Route 29 and Route 104. On April 2nd at 1:20 AM TPD responded to a “front counter motion” alarm at the gas station. Upon arrival, TPD noticed a front window was broken and entry was gained. The suspects entered the business and stole numerous items including liquor and cigarettes and left the business through the broken window. 

TPD has and is investigating video footage.
