The Total Test Results for COVID-19 in Central Illinois are; Montgomery County: 10 pending tests, 2 positive tests, and 29 negative tests. For Christian County: 7 pending tests, 13 positive tests, and 25 negative tests. For Sangamon County: 11 pending tests, 13 positive tests, and 386 negative tests, and 1 death. Macon, Fayette, and Bond Counties are all reporting 1 case each as well.
During Monday’s press conference from the Christian Montgomery County EMA, Christian County Information Officer Mike Havera gave an update on the Rolling Meadows Senior Living Facility in Taylorville which confirmed on Sunday that the facility has been placed on quarantine as a protective measure after 11 new cases were confirmed.
Havera also says that there are some rumors about whether or not mail can carry COVID-19. In the end, wiping them down with sanitizer would probably be the best course of action.
There is also a second Montgomery County Resident that has tested positive for COVID-19.
