Rolling Meadows Senior Apartments On Quarantine Lockdown After Cases Spike

An apartment building geared for Seniors is being placed on quarantine due to the number of COVID-19 cases in the building. According to the Chris-Mont EMA, the Rolling Meadows Senior Apartments in Taylorville are on quarantine after the number of COVID-19 cases spiked there. As of 3 PM on Sunday afternoon, Christian County has 7 pending tests, 13 positive tests, and 25 negative tests.  

 

The residents are being monitored carefully by the Department of Public Health and no visitors are allowed right now. Rolling Meadows is cooperating fully with the quarantine and with the investigation. The Department of Public Health continues to look into the situation to see if anyone else could have been potentially exposed. 

 

Montgomery County has 10 pending tests, 1 previous positive test, and 28 negative tests. Montgomery County Board Chair Evan Young issued a proclamation of disaster for the County which will assist residents through the EMA and help coordinate Federal and state resources. 

 

Fayette County has reported 1 case, Bond County has reported 1 case, Sangamon County has 12 cases and 1 death, and Macon County has 2 cases. 

 

Continue to monitor yourself for any symptoms of COVID-19 including Fever and/or chills, cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue and/or weakness.
