Infant Dies Of COVID-19 In Chicago; Nearly 3,500 Cases In Illinois

An infant has died from COVID-19 in Chicago. The Governor of Illinois, JB Pritzker announced today during his press conference that the infant was less than one year old. Pritzker says deaths among children seems to be rare. A State worker also died from the Department of Human Services.

 

Dr. Ngozi Ezike, Director of the Department of Public Health spoke about the new numbers which bring the total to 3,491 cases including 47 deaths in 43 counties in Illinois. 

 

 

Governor Pritzker also says that he is very concerned about first responders, health care workers, and their efforts.
