Memorial Health Systems Announces Updates For COVID-19

Memorial Behavioral Health is offering multiple ways to help you through the next couple of weeks and through the Coronavirus pandemic. Memorial Behavioral Health has a free emotional-support hotline for you to call.  Just call 588-5509, which is operated by trained mental-health professionals, and it is operated from 8 AM to 8 PM, seven days a week. Other telephone lines to reach include the national Crisis Text Line at 741741 and the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255 or 1-800-273-TALK. Both of those services operate 24/7.

Memorial Health System is also waiving it’s $40 fee per visit for it’s free Memorialnow App. The Memorialnow app allows you to get a diagnosis from a doctor regardless of insurance status or whether the patient already uses a Memorial Health Systems doctor, nurse practitioner, or physicians assistant. MemorialNow is accessible 24 hours a day including holidays and is staffed by Memorial Nurse practitioners. The system is a good way to check for colds, flu-like symptoms, sore throat, fever, and skin rashes and if a prescription is needed, free delivery is available from select pharmacies. Providers can send prescriptions to any local pharmacies.

Memorial Health System is also opening a respiratory screening clinic at its South Sixth ExpressCare location in Springfield at 10 AM to screen people for the COVID-19 virus. The clinic at 2950 South Sixth Street will operate seven days a week from 8 AM until 8 PM. People are encouraged to call the respiratory clinic hotline before they arrive at 588-4019.
