Gov. Pritzker Announces First COVID-19 Death In Illinois

Governor JB Pritzker spoke at his daily press conference today and started off with some sad news. The first COVID-19 death resulted in Chicago to a woman in her 60’s.

 

Governor Pritzker also announced updates to security and procedures at longterm facilities after finding  22 positive confirmed cases with 18 residents and 4 staffers coming down with COVID-19. Governor Pritzker is urging the White House Administration to get supplies to Illinois including more testing.

 

 

The Illinois Attorney General, Kwame Raoul spoke at Tuesday’s Press Conference threatening anyone who price gouges with stiff penalties.

 

 

Dr. Ngozi Ezike announced that there are now 160 cases of COVID-19 in 15 counties in Illinois. All Governor Pritzker press conferences can be heard on NEWSTALK WTIM at 2:30 every afternoon.
