The Taylorville Water Collection Office is limiting face to face contact with the public. The office will remain open with baskets placed on the counter for payments, but the window will be closed. There are also 24-hour drop boxes in the alley behind the municipal building and in the lobby on the East side of the building. Cash overages will be credited to your next bill. Any credit/debit payments can be made on taylorville.net. There will be an e-Pay icon under Taylorville Mayor Bruce Barry’s picture to make a payment. Late fees will continue to be assessed and once-daily activities return to normal, requests to waive late fees will be considered on a case by case basis. All leak checks that must be performed from inside resident's houses have been suspended and meters will continue to be read from the outside. The Taylorville Water Department will not be entering any homes.
