IHSA Limiting Attendance For Rest Of State Finals & Other Winter Activities

The Illinois High School Association (IHSA) announced Thursday morning, that it will limit attendance at the remaining games in the 2020 IHSA Boys Basketball State Series, as well as multiple other IHSA events, in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19 or the Coronavirus.

This decision was made after consultations with the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Peoria City/County Health Department. The Peoria Health Department has made a recommendation that no more than 60 spectators per school be allowed in the arena for all State Finals.

Other games that will be impacted will include the 2020 Class 1A/2A Boys Basketball State Finals, and the remaining games for Class 3A and 4A. The IHSA State Series’ in Debate, Drama & Group Interpretation, Scholastic Bowl, and multiple other events have been limited in attendance or canceled completely.

Full refunds will be available for any tickets that have already been purchased for the remaining contests. For more information visit the IHSA website.
