The Taylorville Fire Department responded to a structure fire Friday afternoon. At 12:45 PM, the Taylorville Fire Department arrived to the 800 block of East Elm and found a fire burning up an exterior wall. The Fire Department worked quickly to put out the fire and in so doing, prevented major damage to the home. The Fire Department continued by ventilating the smoke from the inside and no injuries were reported.
