Central Illinois is under multiple warnings and watches this evening and leading into tomorrow.  A tornado watch is in effect for the entire listening area including Christian, Montgomery, Macoupin, Sangamon, and Shelby County until 3 AM. There is also a high wind warning that will be in effect until 6 PM on Wednesday. Wind gusts could be as strong as 55 miles per hour with highs around 44 degrees. This weather warning is for the counties of Christian, Sangamon, Moultrie, Shelby, and Macon. People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive especially on North/South Roads.
