The Village of Edinburg has issued a boil order for customers effective at 1:16 PM on July 31st.  The boil order is for those customers on Franklin Street from Wildcat Way to Wilkinson and from Franklin Street on Sheridan, Curtis, Eaton, and Campbell Streets.

Water supply personnel will return the system to normal as soon as possible.  At present, the water in the system may be subject to bacteriological contamination which can cause waterborne disease and/or general gastrointestinal distress.

Customers are encouraged to treat all water for drinking or cooking purposes by bringing it to a rolling boil for at least 5 minutes.  For more information contact Superintendent Mike Lebshier at 217-623-5542.
