Taylorville Kiwanis Hear About Christian County Development Corporation at Weekly Luncheon

The Taylorville Kiwanis Club heard from a representative from the Christian County Development Corporation, at their weekly luncheon Tuesday at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.

 

Wendi Rensing (right) is the Home Ownership Coordinator for the new organization, which acquired the assets of the former Christian County Housing Authority.  Rensing shared with Kiwanis members how she is assisting tenants of several of the housing subdivisions C-C-D-C owns, to sell them the homes they now rent, turning them into homeowners.

 

Rensing added that federal regulations require that many of the tax credit homes built by the former Christian County Housing Authority, be sold 15 years after they were built.  

 

 

She added that around 90 homes thru-out Christian County qualify to be sold to their tenants.
