The talk around both Illinois and National Government, of course, is the 2020 census.  The State Board of Education is looking for teachers to discuss the census and why it’s done with students. These teachers are called Census Ambassadors.  Liz Hiler, who is a principal consultant for the Illinois State Board of Education says that a census ambassador does more than just promote the census.

There are plenty of materials online and Hiler encourages all teachers to use that material
