The Taylorville Police Department is investigating a death after a body was found on Wednesday morning. At 6:41 on Wednesday morning, 911 dispatched the Taylorville Fire Department and Police Department along with Dunn’s Ambulance to the 600 block of West First Street after a report of an unresponsive female lying just off the roadway. A female was located in the alleyway of the 600 block between West First and West Maple Streets.  TFD attempted to find a pulse and determined that the female was deceased.  The female is 27 years of age.  No identity has been released until all family members have been notified.  Taylorville Police has contacted Christian County Coroner’s office and at this time no foul play is suspected.  An autopsy will be conducted later today in Bloomington.  Stay tuned to Regional Radio News for more updates.
