Miller Media Group radio station WTIM in Taylorville, is a finalist in statewide competition held by the Illinois Broadcasters Association.

WTIM submitted an entry with audio segments of the over 13 hours of continuous coverage the station provided, in the hours and days following the December 1 Taylorville tornado.  The coverage was simulcast on all 6 Miller Media Group radio stations operating from the company's Taylorville studios.

The Illinois Broadcasters Association's "Silver Dome Awards" will be announced at the Crown Plaza in Springfield on June 12th.

WTIM general manager Kami Payne coordinated the coverage with on-air announcers providing coverage including Danny Russell, Harrison Silcox, and WTIM president Randal J. Miller.
