One person was killed in a Sunday night crash on a Shelby County road.

Illinois State Police were called at 7:46 Sunday evening, and found that a 34-year-old female from Edgewood was a passenger in a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Mathew A. Logsdon of Beecher City.  State Police report that Logsdon failed to yield at the intersection of Shelby County roads one-thousand north and 8-hundred east, and was hit by a vehicle driven by an unnamed 20-year-old male from Pana.  

State Police added the Shelby County Coroner declared the 34-year-old Edgewood female dead at the scene, and has not released the woman's name.

Logsdon and the driver of the 2nd vehicle were both taken to a local hospital.

State Police have charged Logsdon with failure to yield the right of way, and driving under the influence.  

No one in either vehicle were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
