Taylorville Kiwanis Hears About Essential Oils at Weekly Meeting

The Taylorville Kiwanis Club heard about the benefits of eesential oils, during their weekly luncheon Tuesday at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.

 

Tammy Braye, a former appliance business owner in Taylorville, spoke about the benefits of Doterra Essential Oils.  Braye told the club that essential oils came into her live in 2014, and she saw changes in both her life and in the lifes of others.

 

Braye added that essential oils are compounds of different plants, and can come from root, bark, or other parts of a plant.  

 

Braye told the Kiwanis Club that essential oils can be used for headaches, coughs, and anxious feelings, among other diseases. 

 

 

She added that the Doterra Company goes to the country of origin where the plants grow best, no matter where around the world, helping farmers grow sustainable plants.

 

Braye said that the Doterra Company sent over 400 essential oils’ kits, that were distributed to disaster victims following the December First tornado.  

 

The Taylorville Kiwanis Club is part of global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.  Weekly meetings are held Tuesdays at noon at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.  For information on the club, go to taylorvillekiwanis.com.
