HSHS Good Shepherd Hospital is continuing is partnership with Shelbyville Community Garden for a second year. The hospital plans to expand its gardens by providing permanent raised beds, and easier access to water. Marketing Specialist with HSHS, Kristy Gorden, explains the opportunity that the community garden brings to the locals. 

HSHS is also using the garden to further expand its relationship with the community. Gorden says one way they are doing that is by having the local shop class build the new raised beds for more garden space.

All produce from the garden is donated to the local Methodist Church food pantry and the First Presbyterian Church monthly meal mission.
