March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, one way to get ahead of the game is to get regularly scheduled checkups.
Lisa Peterson is the Nutrition and Wellness Educator with the U of I Extension Office in Taylorville says this is the second leading cause of death in the United States among cancers.
She says there are some preventative methods to try out, first and foremost is getting some exercise and living healthy.
Exercise is a great way to live a healthy lifestyle, Peterson does have some foods to recommend blending into your diet for cancer prevention as well.
