A high wind warning is in effect east of I-55 from 9 am to 10 pm today, with a wind advisory from I-55 west. Southwest winds will increase to 25-40 mph with gusts of 45-55 mph by late morning and afternoon, with some gusts of 55-65 mph possible this afternoon and early evening in eastern Illinois.
