Today was the last day on-the-air for Miller Media Group staff announcer Danny Russell.  Russell resigned to pursue a career outside of broadcasting.

In recognition of Danny's over 40 years of broadcasting, Congressman Rodney Davis called during the WMKR Morning Show to congratulate him and wish him well in his new career.

Taylorville mayor Bruce Barry also brought a proclamation designating February 28th as Danny Russell Day in the City of Taylorville.

Miller Media Group president Randal J. Miller then opened up the phone lines during the WMKR Morning Show, for listeners to call and wish Danny well.

Russell is taking a job with the City of Taylorville at its new water treatment plant.
