Monday night, the Taylorville Park Board held their monthly meeting. First presented was the treasurer’s report which was approved. Included in the treasurer’s report was a payment of $99,831 for playground upgrades for the new playground being built at Manners Park. Following that was the 2019-20 operating budget which was approved. Later, recreation director Bailey Hancock was pleased to report that 13 volunteers have stepped up to help remove the old Manners Park playground.

The timetable for the new playground to be in place, Hancock says hopefully by this summer.

After that, the finance committee had the payment of bills approved, and the meeting was adjourned.

The Taylorville Park Board meets on the fourth Monday on every month.
