Assumption Community Pride Association is holding their second town hall meeting February 18th, in regards to what should be done with the Bond Elementary property after the school closes down. President of ACPA, Derek Page, says their first meeting on 4th showed them what they community would like to see be done with the building. There next meeting on the 18th, they’ll discuss how they can take action.

The Assumption community has been very engaged in the recent building discussions. However, Page does says that tough decisions will have to be made.

Page is also an Alderman on the City Council, and he says he would like to see the City take over the property.

The Town Hall meeting will be at 6:30 Monday evening at Bond Elementary.
