Recently the Illinois Senate passed a bill that will raise minimum wage to $15 an hour, it will now go to the Illinois House of Representatives for review.
Avery Bourne represents the 95th District of Illinois in the House. She says she is not completely sold on this idea quite yet.
Bourne she might be able to get on board with it if this minimum wage law was neutralized to where you live, if it is not it could have a huge impact on local businesses.
Bourne says this could take some time for the House to work through, they are in session until July and want to make sure they are thorough.
Bourne appeared as a guest on the Newstalk WTIM Morning Show.
