The Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for their annual banquet in May, and they have some awards to give away. CEO of the Chamber Patty Hornbuckle says they’re now taking nominations for citizen of the year.

Another award to be given out at the banquet is the volunteer of the year, along with a few more.

There is a long history of the banquet, and annual awards. Hornbuckle has a list that goes back into the 70’s.

To submit nominations, Hornbuckle says to contact the Chamber to fill out forms. The banquet is May 3rd, and the theme for this year is The Wizard of Oz.
