The MARC being set up at Taylorville Christian Church for residents affected by last weekend's tornado opened Friday morning. Over twenty agencies have been made available to help those in need who may have suffered damage to their homes or worse. Regional Communications Director for the American Red Cross Maria Henneberry describes the environment as an act of love.
The goal of the MARC is to try and cover every persons need that they can. That even includes child care services.
The MARC opened at 11 in the morning Friday, and a steady flow of people have been coming in for help. Henneberry believes that will continue as long as the MARC is open.
The MARC is open until 7 in the evening on Friday, and will be open for one more day on Saturday from 8 in the morning till 1 in the afternoon.
