Taylorville mayor Bruce Barry is asking Taylorville residents to stay in their homes tonight and stay out of the way of the emergency crews that are clearing the streets, checking on homes that may have people trapped, and get power crews into restore power.

Barry just spoke with Regional Radio News, and said that 15 minor injuries were being treated at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.
