The first winter storm hit Central Illinois last week, and Jared Rowcliffe, Shelby County EMA Coordinator, wants all residents to always be prepared. Rowcliffe mentions that you never fully know what kind of weather is going to roll through in Illinois which makes it all the more important to be prepared.
Rowcliffe actually has a winter weather outlook. He says, it provides a rough estimate of what the entire winter season could look like.
However, Rowcliffe says that it is not typicall you see a truly accurate forecast until, most likely, the day before.
