There is a winter weather advisory in effect for much of Central and Southern Illinois now through 6pm Thursday evening. 

Snow is expected with accumulations possible of 2 to 4 inches in portions of Central Illinois, and some areas could see freezing rain. Road conditions will be hazardous Thursday morning. Taylorvile assistant Fire Chief Andy Goodall wants to remind residents to drive safe, and be prepared, under these potential conditions.
