On Monday night, the Taylorville Board of Education met at the Administration Education Center to discuss items involving the Taylorville School District. To begin, Dr. Fuerstenau honored all fall activities in the school district, and their accomplishments. Following that was a consideration of personnel. After that, was a consideration of overnight trips for the Taylorville wrestling team, boys bowling, and girls bowling team. Later, the board considered the resignation of Steve Curtin, and approved it. Next they had to discuss what would come next in the appointment process to replace Curtin’s position on the board. Dr. Fuerstenau explains that process.
The board was going to discuss the task force, but that discussion is going to be pushed back to a later meeting when there is a full school board. Lastly was the superintendent report, Fuerstenau announced that an Ameren Grant was given to the district to repair lights.
Following the superintendent report, the meeting was adjourned. The Taylorville School Board meets on the second Monday of every month.
