The Taylorville Kiwanis Club held their monthly business meeting during their weekly luncheon Tuesday. The club reviewed the club's efforts in providing programs for local children and youth in the Taylorville community.
Kiwanis Club Priority One chairperson Harriet Morrisey told the club that some 65 children in the local Head Start program, benefited recently from the club's recent "Coats for Kids" program, receiving a free winter coat, hat and gloves.
The Taylorville Kiwanis Club is part of global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Weekly meetings are held Tuesdays at noon at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium. For information on the club, go to taylorvillekiwanis.com.
