HSHS held its ground breaking ceremony on Tuesday afternoon, beginning the construction of their new building coming to Taylorville. Sonya Jones, and HSHS Medical Group Outreach Representative, first address the crowd discussing the excitement around the new building.

Mayor Bruce Barry was on hand as well. He thanked HSHS for building in Taylorville and commented on how the city has been stagnent for quite some time, and that he hopes this will continue to influence growth in Taylorville,

President of HSHS Medical Group also spoke during the ceremony. He says that HSHS wants to help out small towns, and provide them health care because it is important to those communities.

HSHS is the beginning of what Mayor Barry hopes will bring future growth to the city, and HSHS Medical group is looking forward to being a healthcare option for those in Taylorville.
