Taylorville Parks District Meets With Sanitary District on Pipeline Construction

The Taylorville Park District held their monthly meeting on Monday night in the Manners Park Office Board Room. There was a large crowd at the meeting because of issues arising between the Park and Sanitary District involving pipeline construction. Marlane Miller of the Taylorville Park District explained what was resolved between both sides during Monday night’s meeting.

After that was resolved, the Parks Department discussed a few more things before going into a closed session. From now on, after inclement weather, use of Don Bragg Sports Complex must be approved by the parks district. This is because the latest JFL football games played on the field were in very muddy conditions causing damage to the field. Lastly, the parks department would approved the Finance Committee’s payment of bills before the meeting went into a closed session.

The Taylorville Parks District meets on the fourth Monday of every month.
