The Taylorville Community Park District held its monthly meeting on Monday night. They covered multiple topics including the treasurer’s report, youth football season, and necessary maintenance for the pool.
The first motion that carried, was a motion to approve the treasurer’s report which passed unanimously. Following that, Bailey Hancock, Recreational Director, gave an update on the parks recreational activities, and the summer day camp. Then the committee discussed an issue with the pool, and what exactly needs to be fixed. Hancock told Regional Radio News what the plan is for the pool moving forward.
Following the discussions about the pool, the committee announced that YFL and JFL football practices had started that night. Also announced, was that the last day the pool will be open is expected to be on August 12th.
