State Treasurer's Office Sets Record for Money Given Back

This past year for the Illinois State Treasurers Office was unlike any other they have ever had in terms of getting money back in Illinois residents pockets.

State Treasurer Mike Frerichs says two years ago they gave Illinois residents back around 155 million dollars, last year that number was around 160 million. This year they flew past the previous two years with what they gave back.

Frerichs says he often hears about how he has peoples money and all he wants to do is get that money back in the right hands.

Frerichs says two big changes made all the difference this year in getting money back to Illinois residents.

Frerichs appeared as a guest on the Newstalk WTIM Morning Show.
