At roughly 2:37 Wednesday afternoon, a single engine place had to make an emergency landing on I55 heading southbound. The plane cause a small crash with one passenger vehicle, but nobody was harmed. Trooper Sean Ramsey, the District 9 safety education officer, on how the situation was managed.

Ramsey did admit however, that towing the plane was not an easy task.

When asked if he knew the pilots reason for being in the air, Ramsey said it was for aerial photography.

Traffic on I55 has cleared since the accident, and all lanes are now open.
