This past Saturday, there was an active shooter drill at the Taylorville Town Square. Agencies from around Taylorville, and surrounding areas were on scene, participating in the drill. Ron Burke, the Jail Administrator of Christian County spoke about how successful the drill was.

Burke also talked about the planning that went into the drill. The goal of the pre-planning was to ensure that the drill was going to be as realistic as possible.

Now that the drill is over, Burke thinks that Taylorville and its agencies are well prepared for an event like this if it ever occurs.
